Are you going to Heaven? The word salvation found as found in Webster’s Dictionary gives denote to deliverance from the power of sin and all its effects. Sin separates us from God and God sent Jesus to the earth to live and die for us so we could be delivered from sin and all the effects of sin.

Romans 6:23 says “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” God promised us eternal life but that life can only come through Jesus Christ. In John 14:6 Jesus himself confirms this statement “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

Our ticket into heaven is not guaranteed by what church we attend or do not attend. It is not guaranteed by how many good works we do while we are here on the earth. The only way into heaven is through the door God gave us, Jesus Christ. He is the way.

We all make choices everyday of our lives and all of our choices have consequences whether good or bad. The consequence of not accepting Jesus Christ is eternal separation from God or what the bible calls eternal death. Where you spend eternity is your choice.

The good news is God commended his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8). There is nothing we have done in life that will separate us from God’s love or prevent us from accepting His Son as our Lord and Savior. Romans 10:13 tells us “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Salvation is for everyone including you.

If you have come to a place in your life where you need change and you have never accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, today is your day! God loves you.

Romans 10:9-10 tells us how easy the process of accepting Jesus is. He says “ That if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

Let’s make this statement together. Say it with your own mouth.

Father in the Name of Jesus, I come to you today. I recognize I am a sinner in need of deliverance provided by the work of Jesus in and through the cross. I believe in my heart that you raised Jesus from the dead and that He died for me. I ask you to forgive me of all my sins. Lord Jesus, I ask you to come into my heart right now and be my Lord. Thank you for what you have done for me.
